Xavi Pascual began his coaching career in the minibasket category of CB Gavà (1990-91), a club with which he was linked until 1994. He went through clubs such as CB Cornellá, CB Sant Feliuenc, CB Olesa, Aracena and FC Barcelona with which he has worked in the categories Second National, EBA, LEB 2, LEB.
Xavi Pascual in the 2004-2005 season was FC Barcelona’s base coordinator and coach of the team in the EBA league, in 2005-06 he was assistant coach to Dusko Ivanovic. In 2008 Joan Creus endorsed him as coach of the FC Barcelona first team.
Youngest coach in history to win a Euroleague (2010).

Coach of Parathinaikos from 2016 to 2018 with whom he won 2 Greek leagues and qualified for Euroleague Play Offs in 2012 and 2018.
