n the last three years, Sportcoach has been positioned itself as a reference developing content for coaches. First in Basketball, having a great impact in the Spanish Community, we have also expanded to other sports as Cycling, Triathlon, Handball, Football, etc.
Now, we have started our internationalization process with great trust and confidence in our work. We are currently offering our content in Spanish and English to other countries such as United Kingdom, Japan, Sweden, Argentina, Uruguay, Hungary, and many more to come soon.
In particular, we have developed in the last two years a great relationship with Basketball England. We are very proud of the work we are doing together with the Erasmus+ Project 2019-2022. Having Covid in the middle of the equation, we decided to turn a threat into an opportunity to enjoy high-quality online content.
We have provided specific clinics and content for them. For example, Basketball England has been part of Youth ProCoach in last year. An international course built for Youth Programs, where most of the coaches in this project are working.
The second stage of this Erasmus+ Project – European Community of Basketball Coaching Practice will happen in the 2021-2022 season. We will lead the project in Spain for them and we will offer the best online content possible for them.
As a link between both activities, we are excited to offer our Scout Procoach Course as the perfect complement for any coach that wants to be part of the National Programs.
Manuel Peña, ACB Coach, Head of SportCoach International, and former National Coach for Basketball England mentioned that
“This is a program for any coach who wants to improve, where elite professionals will share their work and tools. They will provide a full perspective of the scouting work and linked with a Live Championship”
Manuel Peña
Brian Aldred, Basketball England’s Delivery Manager Coaching, commented that
“It has been a very turbulent time for coaches. We are pleased that we are again working with SportsCoach to create a fantastic opportunity for our coaches to see high-level basketball coaching face to face, made possible through the Erasmus+ Program. We are grateful to SportsCoach and its people for providing a range of coaching sessions and seminars second to none. The first program held in 2019 saw 40 coaches from England gain in-depth knowledge and first-hand experience from top coaches in one of the world’s premier basketball environments.“
