Jordi Fernández

Jordi Fernández Torres, born December 27, 1982 in Badalona, Barcelona, is a prominent Spanish basketball coach.

He began his NBA assistant coaching career in the 2016-17 season with the Denver Nuggets, where he spent six seasons.

In May 2022, he joined the Sacramento Kings coaching staff as an assistant coach under Mike Brown.

He excelled in coaching an NBA game as the first head coach after Brown’s firing in December 2022, becoming the first Spaniard to do so.

In June 2023, he took over as head coach of the Canadian national team, succeeding Nick Nurse. Under his guidance, the team won the bronze medal at the 2023 World Cup.

Doctorate in Sport Psychology
In 2006, he joined the Impact Basketball Academy, which put him on the NBA radar.
2009 Signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers thanks to the confidence of Mike Brown.
